The CRIA Team Assessment

The difference between a good team and a great one is rarely talent. Find out what it actually is.

Most assessments measure the wrong thing.

They measure whether people communicate well, trust each other, or follow through on commitments. That information is important, and it is incomplete. It tells you what is visible on the surface, not what is driving the behavior.

The CRIA goes further upstream. Based on the CRIA Framework, it measures the six foundational capacities that determine whether a team can actually perform together.

Those six dimensions are:

Mindfulness
The collective capacity to notice what is really happening before reacting to it.
Safety, Belonging, and Trust
The conditions that make genuine participation, honest contribution, and interpersonal risk-taking possible.
Self and Other Awareness
The ability to read what individuals are carrying, understand different perspectives, and hold complexity without rushing to resolve it.
Systems Awareness
The capacity to see patterns and dynamics shaping the team as a whole, rather than attributing everything to individual behavior.
Courageous Dialogue
The ability to have real conversations: honest disagreement, direct feedback, and repair when things break down.
Sustainable Excellence
The collective capacity to pursue high standards without depleting the people doing the work.

Research across neuroscience, psychology, and organizational behavior has established that the relational dynamics of a team — how people listen, navigate tension, build trust, and sustain accountability — are among the strongest predictors of performance, retention, and growth. Most organizations have never measured those dynamics directly. The CRIA does.

Not every team gap is a people problem. Sometimes the structures around a team are working against them, even when the people are doing everything right. The CRIA tells you which is which, because skill gaps and system gaps require very different responses.

This is not a leadership assessment. It is not an engagement survey. It is not a personality inventory. It measures the team as a relational system, which is the unit that actually does the work.

What the CRIA Individual Assessment cannot show you

The free CRIA Individual Assessment is a useful starting point: a quick look at your own perspective on how your team is functioning. Think of it as a preview. It cannot show you the full picture of how each team member experiences the team.

The CRIA Team Assessment collects every perspective at once. It shows you where your team's experience is shared and where it diverges. That divergence is often a rich and surprising starting point for the conversations that matter most.

What you get

Your CRIA Team Report gives you a complete, research-backed picture of your team's relational health: where the foundation is strong, where the gaps live, whether those gaps are in people's skills or in the structures around them, and where to focus first to produce the most meaningful change.

How it works

01

Purchase and set up

After purchase, you receive access to a sponsor portal where you can send assessment invitations, monitor completion in real time, and release the report to your team when you are ready.

02

Your team responds

The assessment takes approximately 20 minutes. Responses are collected anonymously over a window you control.

03

Receive your report

Once your team has responded, your full CRIA Team Report is generated and emailed to you.

04

Bring it to the team

Choose the CRIA Full Team Experience and a facilitated 90-minute virtual session is included, where your team moves through the results together, builds a shared understanding of where they are, and begins to identify where they want to grow.
